"This company has become something that has me completely in awe. First, I am in awe of our customers—truly world-class organizations driving great products into the market. Second, I am in awe of our team—some of the brightest and most passionate minds in technology."
Kabir Shahani co-founded Appature in January 2007 with a vision of delivering leading edge software that would provide tremendous business value while being ‘surprisingly simple’ to use. The company developed its innovative software-as-service platform, Appature Nexus, to enable healthcare marketers to better manage their customer data, execute campaigns across channels, and gain insights to optimize their campaigns and performance. Appature experienced rapid growth to quickly become the leading SaaS provider for Life Sciences marketing. In March of 2013, Appature was acquired by IMS Health, the global leader in information solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Shahani was named one of BusinessWeek’s “Best Young Tech Entrepreneurs of 2009”, named one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40” in 2011, and among PharmaVoice’s “100 Most Inspiring People in Pharma” in 2012.
Prior to launching Appature, Shahani was the Director of Business Development at Blue Dot — where he helped raise a significant amount of angel funding, developed strategic partnerships, and managed public relations. Prior to Blue Dot, he served as project manager for Avanade, a global consulting firm and joint venture of Microsoft and Accenture, where he lead teams and executed software projects for Fortune 500 companies.
Shahani holds a B.S. in Informatics from the University of Washington and a certificate in Usability and User Interface Design from the University of Washington.
